I am requesting dry erase boards, chart paper, highlighters, markers and a presentation easel. In order to encourage my students to engage in discussions with one another, I will be relying heavily on strategies to ease them into socratic seminars. In order to best promote free thinking, students will need to process in a variety of ways. With one on one access to highlighters, expo markers, whiteboards, and chart paper - my students will be able to be up and moving within the classroom and letting their thoughts shine! Whiteboards are a great way to promote student engagement, especially at the freshmen level when they are nervous to share out loud.

About my class
