One thing I learned from last year is there is no substitute for in-person learning! From being able to effectively work together to having important social connections, students need to be able to see and hear their teacher and each other. There is a different energy learning in a classroom versus behind a computer screen. Learning on-line has it's place, but keeping schools open is very important. However, opening our schools, while we are still in the midst of a pandemic can be difficult. If students are exposed to Covid, they will have to stay home. If there are too many cases, schools may close again, which we don't want.
We need to do everything we can to keep students safe and in school. Having good quality air filters are essential to any back-to-school Covid mitigation strategy.
