These resources will make a HUGE difference in my students' learning. I'd like to be able to incorporate more read alouds in my lessons to strengthen my students' love of reading. Many of them do not have access to books at home nor is independent reading emphasized in their personal lives. I'd like to use this opportunity to provide them access in the classroom, but home as well, whether it is digitally or with hard copies. I'd like to build on their interests while also connecting back to 3rd grade content.
Being curious about the world around them is valuable to me and I love it when I see a spark in their eyes. Each student of mine is unique and learns differently. They also have their own likes and dislikes. Although this is a challenge as a teacher, it is also a wonderful chance to learn new things! There are no words to describe how much I have learned from my students and their interests simply by giving them quality time and resources.
