This year I introduced flexible setting to my third graders. One week in and as a class we've discussed and voted on what needs to change and what is working for us.
They asked for more floor seating and a better way to keep their materials and supplies together. Before I left for the weekend, I lowered some of the desks to be floor options. Now all they need is a paper tray so that they can keep all their journals, books, and materials together as they travel around our room.
