In order for my students to be safe I will need Scotch Painters tape to mark the areas so they are socially distanced. I also need cleaning supplies like the hand sanitizer and paper towels for proper hand hygiene.
Use appropriate tools strategically-Standard of Mathematical Practice #5! In order to use appropriate tools students need access to them. A basic tool that students will need are wooden #2 pencils.
With an accelerated curriculum students will need to do more calculations in the same amount of time as the other classes therefore calculators are a must. With my large classes I need more than the 30 calculators that come with the Rainbow Calculator & Storage Chart. Therefore I need 5 more basic calculators.
The new math curriculum is going to be based online, so having a 30 set of basic wired computer mice and the additional wired mouse for left/right hand users will help students better navigate the online material. Since I will be using my computer to present work it will be helpful for me to utilize the adjustable laptop stand to be able to make sure that my computer is at the right level and able to be cooled so it doesn't overheat and shut down during a lesson.
Even with the online components there will be a need for students to do work on paper. Having access to the Canon color printer will allow me to make material that is more visually appealing to students as well as them being able to print work for their classes. Another method of learning comes from whiteboard use. This means however, that students will need EXPO markers which are pricey and are used.
Please help us get the supplies we need to have a successful year!
