Safety first! Masks, circulating air, and a gate (to prevent anyone not in our classroom bubble from waltzing into the classroom). Books about COVID, to help my students better understand the new and ever changing world we live in. Large storage containers to keep supplies as sanitary as possible. After a crazy year with COVID, we have been asked to come back to school, together, yet 3ft apart. The individualization of the classroom requires a lot more materials. For example, individual readers so students can read together, yet apart from one another. Additionally, individual bags for supplies, erasers, and so much more. Also, with all the anxiety surrounding the return to school, some fun heartwarming books to help my students learn but also smile, laugh and wonder.
