As a first year counselor, I have already invested over $1500.00 of my own funds to get supplies for the Counseling Office. My school district does not supply any budget for social-emotional books, games, strategy tools or office set up. I want our young students to have a Counseling Office that is ready to support their needs as they emerge from this pandemic and the school shut down.
I want to use books, games, play tools and developmentally appropriate activities to help children learn how to identify challenging feelings and attain the coping skills to manage them. This will help learners stay in the classroom and gain the education they are there for!
I appreciate any partnership and support toward helping me achieve this goal! Let's support our learners with these foundational needs!
