First and foremost our students need to hear from their peers in order to make content and social emotional learning relevant. Through our teen podcast, we will strive to get the students' point of view on various subjects, (e.g. news stories, pop culture, Covid-19, teenage issues, video gaming, interviews with adults). I have requested microphones, a lighting kit, headsets, a mini projector, a webcam, surge protector, and memory card for our podcast. Student voice and understanding how our society functions are skills that are often overlooked, but through a student driven podcast our future leaders will routinely discuss topics that are meaningful and relevant. Too often students are treated as empty vessels, when in fact they are filled with knowledge and experiences just waiting for their voices to overcome the adults. We would love to open our students' voices to impact those in the world through our teen podcast.

About my class
