Our school's mission is to "Empower, Explore, and Excel Together!" School is a great place to learn academics, about our social and emotional needs, to express ourselves creatively, as well as figuring out who we are and what we want to be. I want to have meaningful projects that allow students to empower, explore, and excel while creating a safe and nurturing community. I have requested Solar Rover Kits and STEM Creative Construction Engineering kits. Through these Solar Rover Kits and STEM Creative Construction Engineering kits, students will be fostering important interpersonal skills as well as building a community during an isolating time. Due to COVID-19, many educational spaces need to be reconfigured and redesigned; the library is one such place. I want to continue to implement Makerspace activities this school year that will allow students to grow in new ways, but that is also safe for them to do so. Therefore, through these kits, students will still be able to experience all the benefits of a Makerspace activity and community. These kits will allow students to work together and apply their learning to build a solar rover or complete a Makerspace challenge. While working together, students will be asked to think creatively to build and design and hopefully spark interests that will last a lifetime!
