Being in a rural area and a Title 1 School, frequently our furniture is gently used and second to third hand me downs. Our classrooms have not purchased new furniture in over two decades. As a science teacher, I want my students to be exposed to the workings of a true scientific lab that is not piece mealed together.
This project will allow these students the opportunity to gain confidence in themselves and their success in the classroom and their school settings to dream of becoming scientists for our community and our world. Our students are afraid of failing without knowing what Science is and what they can actually achieve! I would like to provide this experience for our students in rural Wailuku, Maui as they deserve so much more!
I want to provide these deserving students a higher standards classroom environment that will allow them to raise their own self-potential standards!
About my class
