Students in my class have proven to do better when they are given positive reinforcements. By giving students opportunity to decorate Christmas cookies, or earn snacks as rewards, they are driven to succeed! My students do well when they do friendly competition or play games such as jeopardy. When we play these sorts of games, students are given prizes for both participating and winning! Students in my classes have high levels of trauma and need to see that their teacher cares about them in order to be open to learn. By giving students snacks, and doing hands on things like decorating cookies, my students see that I care about them. I want them to have fun, and have full stomachs. Please help me give this to my students!
