The items selected will be used in a variety of learning experiences in the preschool classroom such as direct instruction and self exploration in learning centers. A circle time learning tool will assist students everyday in learning and reinforcing concepts such as calendar, counting, letter of the day, science/weather, social skills, turn taking, and job responsibility. Letter and math manipulatives assist students in learning new concepts in letter recognition, literacy, counting, patterning, sorting and number recognition. Science/engineering and social studies experiences include animals, multicultural families set, building sets, community building and cars to learn about and reinforce concepts and build vocabulary about the things we see every day. Social/Emotional learning is also included to build vocabulary and develop concepts regarding emotions and social skills.
