Children need to move. Research shows students, especially young children, do not learn best sitting in a desk all day. The materials listed on the project will give students the flexibility to choose how they work, while simultaneously learning to understand what works best for them. Students will feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating also encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused, and productive. I want the learning environment for my students to reflect the environment of the real world, and this project will allow me to do that.
