Our students respond to food as rewards, and as teenagers, they are often very hungry, which can inhibit learning. I usually purchase food rewards myself and will continue to do so, but I could use some help. I would like the rewards to be more enticing. This year I have many extra projects for the students for when they finish their work. Since they really just want to play games on the computer or their phones, I need incentives to motivate them. Grades help, but not all respond to that as a reward.
