Perishable art materials are expensive and so many times art teachers just can't expose their students to the different art media because of this. Without these watercolor supplies, my students will not be able to experience the joy that comes from painting.
For the watercolor unit, I will take my students through an exploration of the different watercolor techniques and then into two projects. They will use the wet on wet technique in a watercolor diamond painting and then combine that technique with the wet on dry method for a landscape painting of their choice. Each student will be able to take home and frame both of their paintings and enjoy them for many years to come.
