I’m an elementary special education teacher heading into my fifth year of teaching. I run a resource room and provide push-in supports to meet the unique needs of my students throughout their day. My classroom serves students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles, and this year I’m placing an even bigger focus on social-emotional learning.
I truly believe that building strong, trusting relationships is the foundation for growth, so creating a welcoming, supportive environment is one of my biggest priorities. I want every student to feel safe, valued, and empowered to be themselves. My goal is to help my students learn not only academic skills, but also how to manage big feelings, solve problems, and build positive friendships that will help them thrive in and out of the classroom.
