This rug will continue to enhance the classroom culture that I strive to create. My classroom rug time is a place that my students really enjoy. I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every student will have a spot and will feel welcomed during read alouds and create a love for reading. Students will be able to choose their spot, which will help them continue to enjoy the classroom culture.
With this new rug, my students will be able to enhance a loving and open classroom culture that will allow them to read independently at their own and come together for read alouds.
The best way to increase the love of reading is to read more, and this rug will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with a space to grow that interest.
