After a year of ups and downs and virtual learning, children have shown resilience and growth. The world shut down in front of their eyes and technology flared up. For the last year and a half, books were not in the hands of students.
My goal is to put quality books back into the hands of my students, facilitate conversations, and watch the growth happen before my eyes.
I have heard some of the greatest conversations about books happen around the carpet. Even more than that, we've learned about other students in class, their social-emotional needs, things that stuck out in a book, or Ah-ha moments. As the world changes around us, my job as the teacher is to adapt and help my students learn. These quality books were specifically chosen by adapting to the ups and downs of the ever-changing world around us!
