Having my students use hands-on and visual materials will help them build their fine motor skills and help their brains to learn, engage and create. They are investigating, discussing, creating, and discovering with other students.
Most students learn by doing, especially in special education classes. This gives students the confidence they need to learn and engage socially as well.
Using both visual and hands-on materials in the classroom gives my students a great start to learning and engaging and having confidence in themselves. Having enough materials in the classroom for students is especially important.
