My students would benefit greatly from these hands-on learning tools. My goal as an elementary teacher is to make learning as fun and engaging as possible and that means less worksheets/busy work and more collaboration, creativity and movement!
The magnetic ten frames would help students enhance their understanding of numeracy and basic operations, by creating their own hands-on equations and number sentences on the whiteboard. (And let's be honest, what kid DOESN'T love getting to use the teacher's whiteboard?)
The sentence building activity would help my students create full sentences and recognize key writing elements such as capitalization and punctuation. Building sentences with buddies would help everyone in their writing, especially my English language learners who work so hard.
The stools and table spots would make guided reading even more fun. Students could write questions down as they are reading, practice writing a CVC word, or even a full sentence. Most importantly, the individual book bags would allow me to give students personalized, interest-based books on their reading level that they can read during independent reading time or at home.
