To support students in mastering NGSS concepts, reading and writing in the science classroom should be a regular practice. Investigation is an essential part of studying and learning from natural phenomena and teaching students good safety practices is essential. The materials requested can be utilized throughout the school year on projects for students. Students will investigate how to obtain dye for paints using plants. Students will investigate how to determine if household items are acidic or basic using pigments in plants. Students will investigate the effect if any on plant growth.
