Centers are specific areas around the room that allow students to learn in meaningful ways, through hands-on play experiences, which is why they're such a vital part of a high-quality education. Students are engaged in hands-on activities as they explore, experiment and make sense of the world around them. The benefits to centers are students being able to grow socially, explore their interests, language development, assists with self-regulation and time management. Having center activities provides students with the resources and allows me to interact spontaneously with their peers, take advantage of opportunities to enhance, extend and process information.
