Our school is not a Title One school; however, many of our students require assistance to get their basic needs met. Contributing to this project will help relieve many parents of the financial strain that the pandemic has placed on them. The use of the art supplies such as the crayons, markers, and colored pencils will allow me to create engaging artistic assignments and not have to worry about if all of my students have the supplies they need to be actively engaged in the lesson, or if they have the means to complete assignments at home. The folders will be utilized to communicate with the parents and teach my students about organizational skills.
Being able to choose books on their reading level and that catches my students interest will also help increase the students vocabulary and reading level. Increasing the books in my library will give my students the opportunity to become great independent readers.
