I want to showcase the diversity in our classroom. Using the skin color crayons and pencils will allow students to personalize their art work and make it look just like them! These materials will allow students to create illustrations and express themselves in creative ways. The chair pockets will allow them a place to keep their tools and paper when they aren't using them. Many families will not be able to provide these supplies for their children this school year, many due to joblessness or just not having the extra money after paying their bills.
