In my classroom we embrace our differences and celebrate our diversity throughout all aspects of the classroom. Creating a space that is warm and welcoming is one of the best ways to emphasize the importance of inclusivity.
My goal is to build a classroom that celebrates my students’ backgrounds, accomplishments, and growth by creating a learning space where all students are empowered to perform at their best. Like most scholars, my students thrive in an environment where their needs are met and their voice is heard. The products I have selected will provide a space where students are encouraged to pick seating that allows them to perform best, engage in enriching material, and feel connected with their learning environment.
With students returning to school after a year of distance learning, each student must feel represented and included within their classrooms. This is what essentially builds prosocial skills and creates a learning community where all are welcome.
