Help me give my students calming colors beanbag seats, a sensory fidget kit, liquid sensory viewers, and more.
These tools will help my students to have their sensory needs met after they are returning to school, post-pandemic. They have been through a lot with Zoom learning for a year and students and their families are anxious (understandably) about coming back with everything going on. My goal is to give my kiddos the tools they need to soothe themselves, to meet their sensory needs, and to feel comfortable and safe in their school environment. The bean bag chairs will provide them a safe and comfortable place to sit while learning or taking a break and the fidgets will help them to calm themselves while they are in the room. The fidgets are also tools they'll be able to take to their general education classroom if they need one in order to be their best student in class. When my students feel a lack of control over their environment and are getting used to returning to in-person school, having comforting and predictable tools in a room they can turn to can give them that sense of control.
