Utilizing these materials, my students will be able to acquire new social skills and find ways to self regulate their emotions. We will engage in small group activities where students will take turns, role play, use effective conversation with peers and make new friendships that will last beyond my classes. Because my students struggle with recognizing emotions, the puppets and emotions mirrors will help them understand and oile play through emotions with their peers. The lessons will be colorful and fun but most importantly, life changing. They can then take their skills learned in my classroom and generalize them in the home and in the community.
