My school is located in an urban inner city setting. The students have a low economical background. Our school population is 98% African American and majority of the students come from single parent homes with little to no parental involvement. However, the students come to school daily with willing spirits. They are very smart and intelligent with undeveloped talents. Their family situations create various moods within the students and they are often labeled due to behavior problems. Many of the students have not been outside of their community and have a lack of appropriate communication skills. Unfortunately,the negativity within their environment has an impact on their decision making process.
About my class
