Students will have the opportunity to learn and demonstrate certified nursing assistant clinical skills using equipments and supplies needed for their training in my classroom.
Students will practice physical therapy skills by using gait belt to transfer patients from bed to wheelchair. Each student will be offered a gait belt to practice ambulation skills with "patient" in the classroom (classmates) or at home (family members).
Students will also use the personal protective equipments (PPE) for infection control. They will demonstrate the indirect care skills during bed bath, making an occupied bed, isolation, etc.
