I would love to provide this alternative seating for my students. I teach an EOC course, so my students will have to pass a final exam in order to pass the class and graduate. With an EOC course comes a lot of information and a lot of reading. My students would really benefit from having more comfortable seating to read in during class, as some of them struggle to focus in their regular desks.
There are numerous studies that show the direct benefit of simply providing more comfortable seating in the classroom. When students are comfortable and cared for in their learning environment, they will retain much more. They deserve these saucer chairs and have been working very hard this semester. With finals quickly approaching, I would love to be able to give this to them. We have much reading to do!
