My students are used to sitting at their desk in chairs the majority of the school day. Other than the desk, they are allowed to sit on the floor to make learning a little more fun. During small groups or center time, I want them to have flexible seating at my kidney table that is comfortable and motivating students to learn and get the opportunity to sit somewhere other than their chair or floor. This will keep them engaged and excited when it is time to sit on the wobbly chairs.
