I am requesting costumes and other resources to provide pretend play activities for my students. With these items my students will have an opportunity to discuss and act out real life situations or retelling stories they have been listening too. They will use these items to explore language and form relationships that they cannot do while playing at plexiglass tables.
These items provide a platform that allows the students to talk to one another in either their native language or exploring the English language. By giving the students these opportunities they become comfortable with both peers and teachers. When this comfort is achieved the students then take this new found confidence and expand it to different areas of their learning.
