These materials will help students access the school curriculum by giving them a voice to participate in school routines, make choices, and invite peers to play. With access to speech-generating devices, students will be able to initiate communication with whoever they want, whenever they want.
At home, these devices will help students share news from the day with their families, and engage in familiar home routines, like choosing what book they want to read before bed, or saying " Goodnight!" to their loved ones. They can wake up in the morning and tell their parents how they feel, what color shoes they would like to wear today, and whether or not they help put their backpack on.
