Many students are unable to provide their own headphones. Headphones help students working with technology not get distracted, while also not distracting students who are working independently or in a small group.
Small group instruction is the most efficient way for students to receive individualized instruction throughout the school day. In a typical classroom, only a handful of students have the same skills to work on in Math and ELA. With small group instruction, students can get instruction with a small number of peers on areas they need extra help, reteaching, or a challenge, while other students work in other areas in the classroom on independent work.
