Having the royal reading and writing center will make learning to read and write hands on. Kindergarten and first grade students will be able to share in reading books and writing stories.
Students will gain confidence as they write their own stories with teacher support and then in turn be able to read those stories. We will do interactive writing with the child's lead of details to write about. The children will be able to write the words they know and the teacher will fill in the words they want to learn.
The wonderful thing about writing is that then the children have something they can also read. It opens up a whole new world for children when they learn to read.
