When students have access to iPads in the classroom, they have access to learning and creating anywhere! I have requested 10 iPads. With these iPads, students will use photos, videos, plant and insect identifying apps, and more to explore, record, and show what they've learned.
Students will become agents of their own learning experiences. They will document changes on our school campus over time with video and photos. They will document evidence of the interconnectedness within an ecosystem in our school gardens, at the local marshlands, and on nearby coastal beaches. Students will use satellite imaging to map how locations change over time and are impacted by human behaviors.
By having access to technology as portable and versatile as an iPad, students become invested in the process of learning.
