After the initial quarantine, we gave students a daily bottle of water. As we watched the plastic fill our garbage cans, we knew that the future of our planet (and budget) needed help! With re-usable bottles - students will gain autonomy in quenching their own thirst without adding more plastic to the landfill.
Greatest of all, the school now has a palette to add incentive stickers once they are earned and awarded. We envision students valuing their bottles because it is a source of pride for them. We envision families inquiring how they earned their stickers and students sharing their school success. We envision students increasing their language acquisition because of this supported incentive program.
