I have noticed students struggling with comprehension and connection to literature. Having a book they can relate to based on setting and linguistics will help in this area. I have also included a couple of professional development books recommended by other educators and different workshops I have attended this year. Killers of The Flower Moon can offer students a personal connection with what they are reading while also teaching them about some of the culture and history of their state. I have also included a workbook to go alongside this book.
