I am a new teacher asking for support in purchasing a classroom carpet for my room. Building community within my classroom is a top priority for me. I will have two groups of 5th grade students who will learn math and science with me. The last 18 months have been trying for students and staff alike.
I will use the classroom carpet to create a space to bring youth together to rebuild valuable connections lost during the pandemic. The carpet will be a place for students to work together, come together for math corner, holding morning meetings, and more.
This rug will not only impact my incoming students, but many more classes to come because it comes with a 10 year guarantee. Children are excited to return to the way things once were. Please help provide these exciting scientists and mathematicians a comfortable place to build community.
