In a middle school setting teaching both History and English, it has been an honor to work with such strong and inspiring kiddos. With 90% of our students living in a low-income household and more than 95% of students being Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more; all my students have such inspirational stories to tell. I strive to connect with ALL my students, not only as a teacher but also as someone they can rely on if need be. I work hard everyday to be like a teacher I had in high school, she encouraged and pushed me everyday to do better; I hope to change at least one students' life as she changed mine.
