I work with Deaf and Hard of hearing students in grades 3-5. Due to their hearing loss, they do not access sounds the same way that their hearing peers access sounds.
Within our classroom, we use a Visual Phonics program and other visual supports to assist our students read and communicate. By helping me to obtain a TPT gift card I will be able to purchase Sound Wall cards with clear visual representation of mouth articulation shapes that will not only provide an interactive classroom display but will enable my students to take these visuals to their mainstream classes and home to continue their learning outside of our classroom.
About my class
