These books will be for our classroom library. Students will be able to “check out” books and take them home to continue reading. The goal is to increase the reading stamina of my students. As students read more, they will be able to improve their reading scores. This has longstanding benefits on their overall reading comprehension skills. Therefore, students will be able to score better on both summative assessments and standardized testing. Overall, my students will be able to improve their individual reading skills—which are an important part of the ELA common core standards.

About my class
