During the first wave of COVID, I found that my students love escaping into the Minecraft realm. They were able to create what they wanted and have no real barriers. I became a Minecraft Certified Educator so that I could let me students have the experiences they wanted in my classroom. Minecraft is a hard program to operate on Chromebooks, having the Xbox controllers would be a dream come true for my kiddos. We have already explored ratios and fractions in Minecraft and soon we will exploring algebra, geometry, and statistics in Minecraft. I want my students to enjoy their learning and the math concepts we are learning in class. These controllers would give my students the freedom that they crave during COVID to create endless mathematical creations.
