When teaching first aid it is a good idea to have a realistic situation so that students would know how to react if an emergency is presented to them. By having the AED trainer students would learn how to use them in the event that someone is having a heart attack. It is hard to teach students how to use something if they don't have access to current training devices. The experience of having a real AED training device in front of students would help them to learn how to use the device in real life situations.
