Building classroom community is important to have each student feel they have a special place in our classroom! One way our class builds community is through our love for reading. Each afternoon we come together for our interactive read aloud. This is an opportunity for each voice to be heard. However, the carpet we use does not accommodate everyone and has seen better days. We need a new carpet that would allow each student to have their own space for classroom discussions! This would not only build our community but also allow us to build our great love of reading!
