The hopeful outcome of this project is twofold: classroom organization and flexible seating. Essential organizational materials such as a mailbox sort, individual book holders, and supply caddies will help create a functional environment where materials are easily located and accesible. How much time is lost each year when students are unable to locate their library books or due papers?
The donations to this project will help my students learn responsibility through their daily use of these organizational materials.
As for flexible seating, it is proven that students are more engaged when provided with choices. Through the use of clipboards and floor cushions, I hope to provide students with comfortable alternatives to sitting at their table while remaining focused on their tasks.
