Every teacher looks for ways to engage with students and provide opportunities for skill building, reinforcement, and enrichment. Mathapalooza is my way to reinforce necessary math skills in a fun, non-threatening way. Practicing math skills, logic building, and problem-solving through the use of board games and STEM resources will not only increase students' academic abilities, but will reinforce social learning as well in a fun, interactive way. My "Mathapalooza" project will positively engage students and refine their problem-solving, spatial, logic, and strategic skills through the use of a variety of math-based games and resources. Along the way, students also practice patience, positive interpersonal skills, and taking turns. The reasoning skills, logic-building practice, and collaborative learning will support students in their classes and throughout their everyday adult lives.
