I have an office and a group room to meet with and counsel students k-12, as well as supporting staff with fun, colorful books. I will have class sessions with each grade and use books from this library to bring real-life issues and challenges to the surface where conversations will happen and solutions can be explored.
Reading was a challenge for me as a youngster, and so were emotions. I come to the table with hope for the little people and maturing ones I have the honor of helping. Students will be able to take these books home and continue the conversations we began about; grief and loss; difficulties with change and understanding; being kind to oneself and others; and the list goes on.
