I am so excited for this school year and to provide my students not only with a great, quality education, but also provide them with great resources and supplies as well! I love being apart of a school community where my students, their families, and other teachers/admin. can all work together to give the kids a strong academic foundation. My school is very diverse, so I would like to bring in materials and resources to enhance their learning environment. Teaching diversity prepares our students to be global citizens by exposing them to people from different backgrounds, cultures, and social groups.
My students love reading, and have requested certain books for our library. While they won't have these books in person, I will be able to read to them daily and present the book virtually to them! During our virtual school day, we have two time blocks where I will have a virtual face-to-face learning time with them. One is for literacy and one is for math. I think that the math resources I have included on our wish list would be very beneficial during these times.
