The materials will help students gain a love for reading. I believe that reading is the foundation for all subject areas. Students engaging and exploring different books will ultimately allow them to thrive as they continue on through the years of higher education. Learning and loving to read will build their writing skills as well. I plan on having book clubs in the classroom so that the students can inspire each other as they work together. They will be able to share their understanding and perspective on world issues as they read.
